Lukas Wine & Spirits is proud to announce and share with you this upcoming Fall 2012 season, our 20th hand-selected barrel of Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Lukas has sold over 30 barrels worth of Buffalo Trace over the years and 19 of them have been hand-selected by the Lukas staff and some of our customers. Over the past few weeks the Lukas staff and some dedicated customers analyzed three barrel samples pulled from the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, KY on July 6, 2012 and we have found a winner.
Our 20th hand-selected barrel will be;

This barrel has a very fruity nose, with a balanced corn sweetness & lively rye grain nipping at its heels. With a little bit of water, the vanilla & lightly-dusted worn-oak definitely come through on the nose with baked-honeyed-apricots. Overall, barrel #033 was a step above the other barrel samples in every category. Lukas Wine & Spirits & the tasting panel are 100% confident about this current barrel selection and know that it will rise to the occasion for this upcoming fall 2012 season, plus there will be a suprise for all customers when it arrives due to many popular requests.
By the way, how much do Lukas customers love/support Buffalo Trace you were wondering? Last year we reached our 8000th bottle of Buffalo Trace, this year we reach our 20th hand-selected barrel, and we have only ONE location here in St. Louis, MO, enough said.
