Description from the label…

Fantastic Voyage is a harmonic melange of coconut and Imperial Milk Stout brought to us by brewer, Jim Leabig. Loads of coconut, CO lactase and black malt balance each other to provide flavors reminiscent of chocolate covered coconut with a finish smooth like silk sheets. Best enjoyed while listening to slow jams — by candlelight.

Boulevard Love Child #3

Now in stock, but very limited. Two bottles per person. Here’s the description from Boulevard

Boulevard’s Love Child Series of “wild” ales are barrel-aged with such boisterous cultures as Lactobaccillus and Brettanomyces. These wayward offspring can prove so complex that we employ gauges on the label to convey the intensity of three key personality traits, Funk, Sour, and Fruit, presenting a picture of the ale at the time it was released. It will change as it ages, but don’t we all?

Oak barrels were used to age the majority of beer used for Love Child No. 3—with beer aged from 16 months to nearly six years. Another portion of the beer spent 11 months in stainless tanks, souring on Lactobacillus. While very tart, the sourness is short-lived and the beer finishes dry with a trace of oak.

Releasing KBS………

UPDATE: Leftover bottles are sold out.

Last week, Founders KBS was released to much acclaim and severely limited quantities.  We heard stories of people actually following delivery trucks from stop to stop in an attempt to procure some of the bottles.

So believe it or not, we have a few bottles that might not be picked up.  As it was posted last week when we received this beer, any leftover bottles would be released Wednesday, April 10th at 9:00 a.m. when we open.  So this is the final post about this beer that any bottles in our store when we open tomorrow morning will be released to the public.  Make note, there is NO GUARANTEE WE WILL HAVE ANY BOTTLES AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE.

But just like before, we will not take reservations of ANY KIND for the bottles. No phone calls, email or any social media interaction of any kind will be accepted for the bottles.  We will not hold a bottle for any amount of time, it will be first come, first serve and it will be a one bottle per person limit.

NO EXCEPTIONS!

KBS is here! Unfortunately, we barely got any this year, so we have to limit it to 2 bottles per person. All bottles must be picked up within 7 days. After that, whatever remains will go up for grabs on Wednesday, April 10 at 9AM sharp. As with other limited releases, only you can pick up the beers you reserve, not your friend, brother, etc. Good luck!

Kirkwood Station Beer

Kirkwood Station Brewing’s first two bottled releases are now in stock, and they’re very limited! Penrose is an orange blossom mead and 51 is a Saison with Brettanomyces that’s been aged in Chardonel oak barrel for almost 11 months.

Big boozy bourbon and American oak aromas combined with soft chocolate malty undertones. Complex malt flavors framed in oak, with hints of dark chocolate, vanilla, tobacco, coconut and just a touch of dark cherry. This is definitely a sipping beer, best served in a brandy snifter. This ale pairs well with dark chocolate and sturdy cheeses.

This delicious barleywine is extremely limited. One bottle per person.

4 Hands No Place Like Home

Believe it or not, some people still have some 4 Hands Home and No Place Like Home reserved.

Well, today is the last day to pick up these bottles. Beginning tomorrow morning, when we open at 9:00 a.m., all bottles previously reserved will be open to the public.

If you or someone you know has some being held, this is their last call to come and get some wonderfully crafted local brew. We will not hold any bottles, it will be first come first serve.
