Whiskey & Beer Aficionado’s Unite!

At Amador Whiskey Company, they partner with the finest craft distillers to create limited-edition, luxury whiskeys. The first release was crafted by the Charbay Master Distillers, Miles and Marko Karakasevic. A blend of 60% straight malt whiskey and 40% hop-flavored whiskey distilled from a craft IPA beer (Racer 5), the components were aged separately for over two years in French oak wine barrels, and then “married” into chardonnay barrels for another year before being bottled. Only ten barrels of this superb spirit were made available nationwide (4116 bottles).

Tasting Notes

By Charbay Master Distiller, Marko Karakasevic

Tasting it neat, the initial impression is caramel, cloves, and vanilla. It has a rich palate, with a finish that lasts for about ten minutes.

The beer flavors stand out with a bit of dilution, experiencing it with a cube of ice during the heat of summer. The hop spice is enhanced, along with all of the 2 row barley flavors. Again, a long-lasting body with an extremely smooth finish.

This 96-proof whiskey definitely holds up to a splash of water or a cube of ice, and will make exquisite whiskey-based cocktails. It’s currently drinking well, and will handle many years in a bottle. As the flavors will develop and deepen even more with time, we recommend enjoying some now and tucking a case away for special occasions 20-30 years from now.

This is a “First Batch Release”, which means it is going to be highly collectible and sought after by many whiskey aficionado’s and even all of the beer connoisseur’s.

Cheers,
