Rare Whiskey release on Saturday, August 27th!

Come join us on Saturday, August 27th as we release some of the hardest Whiskeys in the world to find!

Weller-old-antique_0From 2-4:00 p.m. we will have drink specials on pours of premium Whiskeys. Some of the Whiskeys being released will be available to buy by the pour, some will not. Rest assured, we have a fantastic selection of Whiskey pours (and in some cases Whiskey flights) available for everyone*.

At 4:00 we will release the following Whiskeys to the public via lottery:

  • Old Weller Antique 107.
  • W L Weller 90 proof.
  • Angel’s Envy.
  • Stagg Jr.
  • Willet Pot Still.
  • Blanton’s.
  • Eagle Rare.
  • Sazerac Rye 6yr.
  • Colonel E.H. Taylor Small Batch.
  • 1792 Full Proof.

We will draw names at 4:00 and each person selected will be able to purchase 1 of the fore mentioned bottles. Each person will be allowed one free entry, but you must be present at the time of drawing to win. No holds will be allowed.

Please understand that while we have a generous amount of these Whiskeys to release, depending on how many people enter this lottery, not everyone might leave with a bottle.

Will Pappy Van Winkle lottery be held later, or was that also today? Didn’t see it listed but thought I saw it in the photos.

    • Jon, we have not decided how we are going to distribute our allotment of Pappy. Every year our antique collection has become smaller and smaller so when we know how much we will receive we will make our decision on how to release it. Today we had a rare whiskey release and some Van Winkle bottles (that were intended for use at our bar from last year) were added as a surprise for our customers who showed up for the event.

      Cheers!

    • Ryan,

This decade alone, domestic Whiskey (Bourbon, Rye, etc.) has seen an unprecedented rise in both popularity and demand. Every day someone new becomes enamored with Whiskey and thus creates the ongoing surge of consumers and fans. I can recall back in 2007 when a Bourbon like Pappy Van Winkle 20yr would just sit on the shelf. Now, it’s one of the most sought after Whiskeys on the planet.

Normally, and item like the Weller 90 proof would just be put to the shelf to reward customers stopping by to shop. The Weller 107 is something we have not seen in at least 5 years, making it a bit more special of an item. Add to that a nice shipment of other coveted Whiskeys like Blanton’s, Anegl’s Envy and Sazerac 6yr, and we decided that for this round of Whiskey we would hold a special event where someone who has been seeking one of these Whiskeys would at the least, know where to potentially snag one.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any other questions or concerns you might have. Thanks!
