Collaboration is one of the joys of craft brewing.  New relationships are forged, old ones are reinforced, and an intriguing new beer emerges.

Phil and Florian are old brewing friends, but this is their first collaboration.  Ommegang brewed Urban Chestnut’s traditional doppelbock with Ommegang’s Belgian house yeast, while urban chestnut brewed Ommegang’s Belgian style dubbel using their own signature lager yeast.

The beer is rich, malty, and dark, with notes of caramel and cherry.  Gently hopped with traditional German hops and fermented with Ommegang yeast.
